Announcement from Lisanne

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you the Lord is moving me on to a new ministry. I have been heartbroken thinking of leaving The Care Center, but I know that if we truly live our lives for the Lord, we must go where He leads.

I do want to share a bit of what the Lord is doing in my life and where He is taking me. Right before Easter weekend, I received a phone call completely out of the blue about a job in Bangor, Maine. It is an early intervention school for children who fall on the autism spectrum. The founder of the school is a truly remarkable woman who has dedicated her life to helping give these children the most innovative whole-person approach to intervention I know to exist. In the school they have speech pathologists, clinicians, occupational therapists, and a one-to-one student to teacher structure. They also offer family therapy so the parents and siblings are also supported throughout the program. The idea is for me to come in, run the school, and help them create a business model that can be replicated in more places. From there I will likely help open more schools in both Maine and elsewhere. It will be a great challenge, but nothing worth doing is ever easy.

Please know that I would not leave The Care Center for just any job, but if you could see what I saw when I made a quick trip up there, you would completely agree with me that more children and families need this school! I believe that this opportunity will only build upon my firm belief that every life is valuable and deserves to be treated as such. Watch Me Shine gives these children the best education and doesn’t stop pushing their goal markers because they truly believe these kids can do it.

My last day with The Care Center will be June 4th, so I am happy to talk further when I see you next. Until then, I covet your prayers and prayers for the Board and staff.

Leading The Care Center has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me over the past four years.

This is God’s ministry and I know that He already has the perfect person to fill this position and lead The Care Center to even greater impact!
